CLASSICAL QUEEN ANNE DRESSING TABLE or DESK, COUNTRY HOUSE, FRENCH SHABBY CHIC STYLE
This is a quality reproduction of a classic Queen Anne dressing table/desk crafted between 1940 and 1950 and has the CC41 wartime stamp to the back.
The item is made from a mixture of hard woods including mahogany and oak.
Recreating a piece that originated from 1800’s, balanced in proportions and all the attributes of a classic piece of furniture.
We believe in plain English, telling you what you need to know without the waffle, so here we go.
The dressing table has been prepped, undercoated then top coated with several layers of ‘Pavilion Grey’ eggshell by Farrow and Ball and finely edged in ‘Arsnic’ a verdigris green also by Farrow and Ball.
Sympathetically distressed then dark waxed and finally over waxed in a natural bees wax to give a lovely aged effect.
